Computational History and Digital Humanities Workshop

ALIGNED will host the 2nd International Workshop on Computational History and Data-Driven Humanities, in the ADAPT Centre at Trinity College Dublin on 25 May 2016.

The workshop will be opened by a keynote talk on “Understanding Social Complexity through Data” by Professor Harvey Whitehouse, Chair of Social Anthropology, Director of the Institute of Cognitive and Evolutionary Anthropology, and a Professorial Fellow of Magdalen College at the University of Oxford. The workshop will also include presentations and lightning talks on a variety of topics in computational history and digital humanities. You can check out the schedule here.

The workshop will be followed by two days of discussion for the Seshat project. These discussions will see members of the ALIGNED team join in a discussion with mathematicians, social scientists, and historians to try and advance our knowledge of human society using computational techniques and big data.

The 2nd International Workshop on Computational History and Data-Driven Humanities is free, but spaces are limited and registration is required. Register for the 2nd International Workshop on Computational History and Data-Driven Humanities here.
